Dr. Kyu Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, and lived there until 2009 when he moved to the United States to pursue higher education. He earned an A.A. in General Science from Santa Monica College, followed by a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before embarking on his dental career, Dr. Lee gained valuable experience as a dental assistant, which further fueled his passion for dentistry.
He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. During his time in dental school, Dr. Lee conducted research under the mentorship of several periodontics faculty members, whose work inspired him to specialize in periodontics. After graduating from UCSF, he completed a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Lee is currently an Assistant Professor at California Northstate University, School of Dental Medicine, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of dental professionals.
Driven by his love for Northern California, Dr. Lee returned to the Greater Sacramento area to practice. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants with his wife, Anna, and pursuing hobbies such as exercising and playing the piano.
Fluent in English, Korean, and Japanese, Dr. Lee is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients.
